What should I expect when I attend the Sunday Morning Services?
We know that going to a new place for the first time can be intimidating when you don't know what to expect. Read on to get a good picture of what you will encounter when you come to one of our Sunday morning services. (The 9:30 & 11:11 am services are identical.)
Before you leave home...

What to wear: Dress is casual at Redwood Covenant Church. Wear whatever is comfortable to you. Come in jeans, slacks, a dress, a suit, shorts, hawaiian shirt, etc. You'll find all kinds of attire at RCC. (But you won't find many men's neckties.)
Directions: Please click on the directions/contact link.
When you arrive...
Parking: As our church is growing larger, it is sometimes difficult to find a parking spot. Please arrive early. While we always try to leave enough spots for visitors, sometimes we run out of room. Parking is also available across the street.
Greeters: You will find greeters at the front doors of the church. Be sure to ask them if you need assistance locating anything.
Welcome Center: Just inside the main entrance, in the center of the atrium (lobby), you will find our Welcome Center. We invite you to stop by and introduce yourself, ask any questions you may have, and receive a free gift.
Make yourself at home...
Cafe: If you arrive early before the service starts, hang a left from the Atrium. There you will find our Cafe. On Sunday mornings, we offer free coffee. We also have specialty coffee, breakfast burritos, donuts and other goodies available to purchase.
Children and Student Areas: The children's area is located on the right side of the building, as you enter the Atrium. You will see a check-in area under the sign that says "Redwood Kids". The student rooms are located to the left side of the building, as you enter the Atrium. Ask someone at the Welcome Center for help locating the Student Rooms. We have more pages with information about our children and student programs.
Welcome to our Services...
Celebration Hall: Our Sunday morning services are held in the Celebration Hall. You will find the Celebration Hall straight ahead when you first walk into the building. When you are ready, come in and sit wherever you like. Remember to get a bulletin from an usher on the way in.
Typical Service: Our typical service will last about 1 hour 15 minutes. We begin by singing. We try to sing a mix of contemporary songs along with hymns of the past. We sing to worship and encourage each other to focus on the Lord who loves us and guides us. We do have a time when we greet one another and share some family news and events coming up. We always pray and a message from God's word is brought by one of our Pastors.
Communion: On the first Sunday of the month we share what is called the Lord's supper, also known as communion or the "common meal." We do this because Jesus commanded us to do this to remember his sacrifice and death on our behalf. Anyone who who has made a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ as Lord is invited to take communion with us. If you are not ready to participate in communion for any reason you only need pass the elements to the next person. Please do not feel uncomfortable at all. Communion is both corporate and deeply personal as well.
Offering: There is always an opportunity to give financially to honor God and support his work. When you come as a guest or a newcomer we don't want you to feel obligated in anyway to give, but only to receive. Should you choose to become a part of this fellowship then we encourage you to add your gifts to support what God is doing through this body of believers.
