Support and Recovery

Redwood Covenant Church currently offers the following support and recovery groups, as well as prayer opportunities. Groups are open to everyone in our community, regardless of church affiliation or religious orientation. DivorceCare

A special weekly seminar (10 weeks) and support group for people who are separated or divorced. It’s a place where you can be supported by people who understand what you are feeling. Format is a 30 minute video (from experts in the field) followed by a time to share about the video topic. DivorceCare is a safe place to hear valuable information and heal from the hurt of divorce/separation. Cost: $30 for class and book. Contact: Church office, 528-8463 for more information.

12-Step Group

A Christ-centered 12-step meeting is held every Friday evening at RCC, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The group is open to those desiring recovery from alcohol, drugs, codependency, eating disorders, or any other addiction. Anyone is invited to attend, as it is not focused on only one addiction or issue. Since this group has no start or end date, you are welcome to join at any time. Sisters with Spirit

Sisters with Spirit is an ongoing support group. We are focused on healing, changing, and growing in the Lord, and how to live that out in the practical matters of everyday life. We meet Friday evenings at RCC from 7:00pm - 8:45pm. Try us for a couple of times, and then decide to regularly join us if you wish. led by Alexandra Montoya. Anger Management

Anger is an emotion. We can’t apply a “bad or good” rating to it because it’s an emotion. What gives anger a “bad” name is that many times it is acted out in volatile ways. We can have fear without anger, but not anger without fear. In anger management we examine this motivation and explore ways of expressing anger that will build relationships, not destroy them. The training provides tools for dealing with anger within ourselves or coming from other people. This class is given two to three times a year. Contact: Church office, 528-8463 for more information.

Prayer Opportunities

Prayer Line: Leave a message on our prayer line for our prayer team. The messages are picked up daily. The phone number is: 526-5940 ext. 3501.

RCC Prayer Team:The prayer team is available to pray for you on Sunday mornings after services. We encourage you to seek prayer more than once.

Elder's Prayer:The Elders are available to pray between services every Sunday morning and at the Saturday night service.

Open Prayer:Join Pastor Dan Beach at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays in the Prayer Chapel. During this time, there is an opportunity to receive prayer for any needs or concerns you have.

Healing Services: We offer special contemplative healing services several times a year. In a quiet, reflective setting, we seek healing for all aspects of our lives…physical, mental, emotional, relational, sexual. Opportunities to be prayed for by others are available, and communion is offered.
