Small Groups

People live better and grow better when they can share their lives with a few others on a regular basis. The only way this can happen is in some kind of a small group. This is where people experience connection, healing, recovery, growth, discovery, and support. It is where they begin to learn more accurately and well who they are as persons. It is where we learn to love and be loved in the Christian community. It is where we can give of ourselves and receive from others.

Towards that end we offer women's groups, men's groups, couples groups, singles groups, mixed groups, etc. New groups are always forming and you can enter a group at any time. Please call the church office (528-8463) for information on being connected to a small group or visit our Small Group webpages where you can sign up for groups online.

Friday Night!

On Friday evenings, we offer a variety of spiritual formation, personal and relational growth classes and groups.

Around the Table: Begin Friday evening by sharing a meal provided by us at no charge. The Table is open between 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Atrium of Redwood Covenant Church.

Transitions: After dinner, join us for "Transitions" - a time of quiet, reflective prayer... an opportunity to "transition" from our noisy, busy day to a peaceful focus on God. Every Friday evening from 6:30-6:55 p.m. at Redwood Covenant Church in the Celebration Hall.

Classes and Groups: We offer a variety of classes and groups on Friday evenings. See our adult groups calendar for more information on current groups and classes.

Women's Ministry

Bible Study: There are women's group Bible Studies available. Please see the adult groups calendar for more information on current studies.

Women to Women: The 3rd Saturday of every month 10:00am - 12:00. Women meet for a time of worship, food, connection and to hear speakers or participate in activities designed for spiritual growth and encouragement. Open to all ages. Childcare provided.

Sisters with Spirit - We are not a bible study group, although we use scripture often. We are not a small group, although we get to know each other well. We are not a women's event, although we support women's ministries at RCC and elsewhere. We are a women's support group. We focus on growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and how to live that out in the practical matters of everyday life. We are into healing, changing and growing. We learn to care for ourselves, and others, deeply. We tell the truth about ourselves and let others see us. We give up the ways we've created to 'protect' ourselves that aren't working anymore, and learn better ways. We use Boundaries, Healing is a Choice, Ransomed Heart, Changes that Heal and other materials. We meet on Friday nights at 7 p.m. at RCC. Come to 1-2 meetings, and see if you'd like to join our group. Call Alexandra Montoya, the facilitator, for more information 591-9741.

Men's Ministry

Saturday morning Men’s Group:The Saturday Morning Men’s Group is studying the book of Psalms. Come explore with other men this ancient text that contains contemporary themes that will apply to your life situation. We meet at 7:00 am at RCC and finish at 8:30 am. This time frame gives you time to meet with other men and still be able to go out and mow that lawn, paint that room, use power tools
or make it home in time to cook breakfast for those you love! Facilitated by Dan Beach.

Band of Brothers - Friday Night Men's Group: The Men’s Group, on Friday evenings here at RCC from 7:00 - 8:30p.m.
This is an ongoing small group for men only that will be about discovering relationship with God and each other. The group will begin with the “Wild At Heart” video series. Gerry Stites and Greg Aunger are the facilitators. Call Valerie at 528-8463 x217 for more information.

H.I.S. Xpression

HisXpression now has two writers groups. The first is a writers encouragement group for all kinds of writing. We meet once a month over coffee and discuss what we’re writing, what we want to write or area’s of writing we are struggling with.
The second group is for novelists who are currently working on a novel - (submission required) Call Erin Briggs 824-1551 about the details.

Outdoor Fellowship Adventure

Some people just have to be outside. OFA takes groups into the beautiful California outdoors! It could be snow shoeing, hiking or camping in the Sierras. From picnics to stargazing to geo-caching to class four white-water rafting, nearly every month OFA has an adventure to connect with God outside of the church walls. See the Redwood Beat for OFA trips, visit the web calendar, or call Thomas Silewicz for information. 584-4406. www.ofadventures.org
