Wendy Pryor, Office Manager

I was born in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil , the second child of three with an older sister and younger brother.  Since my dad worked for the State Department I was really lucky to have been able to travel a lot in my childhood.  When I was five we moved to Maryland , close to Washington D.C.  A few years later we went to live in Paris where we were able to visit a lot of different countries during our three years there.  After Paris we moved back to our house in Maryland and when I was sixteen our family moved out to San Diego .

In ‘77 I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology.  I bounced around-volunteered at a zoo, (that was a blast!) and then worked for a few veterinarians in various locales, not quite Ranger Wendy but having a whole lot of fun never the less!  In 1980 I was married and immediately moved to Augsburg , Germany —where once again I had the great fortune to be exposed to many different European cultures. 

After my marriage ended in 1985, I moved to Santa Rosa and began my eighteen year stint working for an HMO, Health Plan of the Redwoods, in various capacities-ending up as a Business Systems Analyst. 

In the late 90’s, after living my whole life very apart from God I started wondering what that black hole feeling in me was all about.  I started searching and finally gave my life to Jesus in 1999 through RCC’s Alpha program.

In ‘03 I was very fortunate to actually be employed here at this church.  I thank God all the time for being able to work with a fantastic group of people within a true believing church family.  It’s my great fortune to get to see Him working all the time in this place we call RCC!
