Robin T-Orton, Facility Assistant

I was born in Chula Vista, CA and spent most of my childhood & young adult years living with my grandparents. I remember first hearing and learning at an early age that God was very much there and available to hear my prayers. The sense of His presence surrounding me and the events in my life was powerful.

I attended part of Elementary, and then Jr. & Sr. High here in Santa Rosa, and at the age of 18 I attended a church where God’s word drew me into a personal relationship of trust and faith in Him. I attended Santa Rosa JC and later Grand Rapids School of Bible & Music in Michigan and spent many years involved In children’s, women’s and music ministry.

I have been very thankful to be a part of the RCC family and staff! The many ministries that bring new hope of peace, restoration and healing have been very meaningful for my own life’s continuing journey.

The two gifts of special “joy” in my life are my grandchildren----as they embody so much of who God is in His creation, creativity, mystery, love and grace.

I pass on to you what has often reminded and comforted me in the word’s that Jesus read in Isaiah:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
