Lori Gossman, Counselor![]() My journey with God began as a young child. I was raised learning about God, learning about Jesus Christ, learning about his ways of love. During high school, personal challenges led me to test if God's ways worked. Put to the test, they did. I began to pursue a "relationship with God" -- a phrase I had heard about, and I hoped to learn more of what that meant. As a young adult, I was challenged to integrate what I was taught about God's ways as well as what I had been learning about relationship with God, with what I was seeing around me and experiencing in life. I pursued a degree in Social Work, which expanded my exposure to people from all walks of life. I was intrigued by how people experience joy, sorrow, laughter, pain, how they live through their strengths and grow through their weaknesses. And in the midst of it all, people journey, in some way, with God. Following years of work both in churches and in the counseling field, I joined the counseling staff at RCC in 2002, now serving as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It is a joy to experience this adventure of life with God and others! |
