Joanna Quintrell, Pastor of Adult Spiritual Formation![]() I was born to British parents, in a British military hospital on the island of Cyprus. At the ripe old age of 9 months, we returned to England, then moved to Canada when I was 3 years old…already a world traveler at such a young age! And traveling is something I’ve loved ever since…in fact, it’s the hobby that my husband, John, and I share. Traveling to new places, and doing lots of hiking…that’s where you’ll find us when we have time off together. Our son, Jeremy, also loves to travel and has had the privilege of visiting the Holy Land, among other places. John and I found RCC in 1986, back when the church was meeting in the YMCA aerobics room, and adult Sunday school took place in the weight room! We’ve had the joy of watching the Lord bless this congregation and bring so many wonderful people to be a part of the family. I have served on the RCC staff for over 12 years, in a variety of capacities. It has been wonderful to find this place where I have been able to explore and discover my gifts, passion and calling, and have had the freedom to become the person God made me to be. I am currently the Pastor of Adult Spiritual Formation, equipping and supporting those who serve in our many and varied adult ministries. My education/professional development has included being a Registered Nurse (and Lamaze childbirth instructor), and an M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. I am currently a licensed minister and pursuing ordination in the Evangelical Covenant Church. Serving the Lord and the spiritually thirsty in full-time ministry is really a dream come true for me… |
