Donna Meyer, Director of Communications

I was born on the east coast (which I escaped from in the 70s by driving across country in my parents 1967 Valient -  but that’s a long story) suffice it to say most of my growing up took place in South Dakota (Sioux Falls) and Minnesota (Minneapolis).

I have a BFA in Graphic Design from Minneapolis College of Art and Design, A Masters Certificate in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, And a Masters of Theology in the Arts from United Theological Seminary also of St. Paul. My husband Michael and I moved to California to be closer to his Mom, who lives in Capitola. Yes, we tried to find a house to buy down there…sticker shock. So we left the surfing and the beach for the redwoods and the grapes. Our family consists of an old cat named Pud, and two cats that came with our property (the former owner left them behind!) We named one Izzy (the deaf and half blind one) and the other is Alex (a manx - the kind with out tails). We have been remodeling our shack in the country. It’s not any bigger, just more livable.  

My stepping through the doors of Redwood was God’s doing. My dream was to use my skills from the secular world to help an organization doing God’s work. I am so grateful to be here at Redwood as my faith journey continues to evolve.
