Dennis Edwards, Business Manager

I grew up a non-believer going to a Methodist church on Easters and an occasional Christmas Eve. As I grew older, church and I grew in distance. At that time I never knew the Gospel. I graduated high school in1973 and started my business schooling. Shortly thereafter I moved to Santa Rosa to start my new business and was married in 1975. I found that I was in love with the business I had started, a retail motorcycle and parts store. I devoted more time and energy and opened a second store. I also loved my hobby of riding and racing motorcycles.

My wife Kathy and I have two children. Our son was born in 1978 and our daughter in 1980. It wasn’t until around this time that I was introduced to Jesus and very soon after was baptized. The journey began and my life changed! My old life and imbalances were realized as I became much closer to my family. I soon became very involved in ministry as well. I discovered that church growth, management and leadership were my areas of passion. My time was spent attending many church conferences and seminary courses and many other studies.

My family and I came to Redwood in 1993. Immediately I was involved in one ministry or another. I was a Lay Pastor, involved in the Worship Ministries, Newcomer Ministry coordinator, Spiritual Gifts Ministry leader and in 1995 I became the church Treasurer. I soon realized He was calling me to full time ministry. This new realization caused great excitement as well as a feeling of fright. In 2000, God worked out all of the details to sell my business and fill the position of Business Manager at Redwood and I currently am serving as the Executive Administrator. I have been greatly blessed being a part of this ministry seeing the church grow, seeing lives being changed and a new church building constructed. I thank God for how He has worked in my life and for letting me be a part in so many others.
