Cherie Wanger, Administrative Assistant
I am the second of four girls and grew up in a very close family in
Concord
California
. I attended CSU Sacramento where I received a teaching credential in June of 1981. After graduation I married my husband John on
January 23, 1982
. We moved to
Ventura
,
California
where I taught 3rd grade for three years and he began his engineering career.
I was able to retire from teaching when our first child Kristen was born in 1985. While living in
Ventura
both my husband and I became Christians. I attended a bible study with two of my teaching collegues and they introduced me to Jesus Christ. I learned what a loving, comforting God we have and I fully gave my life to him over 20 years ago.
In May of 1987 we moved to
Santa Rosa
to be closer to family. Our son Tim was born in 1988 and our son Gabriel was born in 1992. We found
Redwood
Covenant
Church
soon after moving here and quickly made it our home church. I have always loved working with children and have been a part of the children’s ministry here at RCC for 18 years.
