I was born in
Tennessee
and lived there until my family relocated to
Southern California
at age 10. I was led to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior at age 11. I attended UCLA after high school and finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Music at

I met Denise, my wife, in high school and we married in 1981. In 1983, we moved to
Northern California
to escape the smog and clutter. God led me to begin leading worship in 1988 as a volunteer leader. Concurrently, I appraised real estate (and still do as a side job).
I joined the staff at
Redwood
Covenant
Church
in 1997 as full-time Director of Celebration Arts/Worship leader. I enjoy writing songs, particularly for worship. My favorite authors are: Max Lucado, Brennan Manning, and John Eldridge. I like to watch movies and I really enjoy “24”. I love my family – my wife Denise, my three children, Jeremy, Jenelle, and Jacob, and my cat, Maestro. All things considered, I’m a very blessed guy.
